My room…

blog

My stuff after I unpacked…

These are the stuff for my first shopping after checking-in.

Since it was already late, I just bought instant noodles from Jusco and a big Original Recipe Pie from Secret Recipe. Eating the pie and instant noodles was not enough for me… but what to do.

My dinner… And the one on the right is very important…

After surfing for a while, set my alarm to 6.20am and went to sleep around 1.00am.

At KL

blog

(28/10/2007) I took the Airport Limousine to MidValley with $67.40 fair. Arrive at the hotel around 9.30pm. After I made my hotel online reservation yesterday, I email them for a non-smoking room. Luckily the non-smoking room is available and it is at 17th floor.

Dump my stuff and un-pack a bit. Switch on my notebook and check for internet connection. Ooo man… no free internet lah… $30 for 2 hours, $50 for 5 hours and $80 for 24 hours.

I went down to go get some food… for my dinner. After doing some shopping, I check with the hotel counter and bought the 24 hour Airzed pre-paid card.

To KL…

blog

I woke up around 7.30am this morning. Immediately take my bath and then take my breakfast.

Then started packing for my KL trip. My flight is at 4.10pm. After I prepared what I’m going to take with me, I went to the bank. First, I went to Maybank at Lintas then proceeded to the Public Bank at Lido to pay my credit cards. I don’t want my credit card unusable when I’m in KL. It happened a few years ago, where I only have one credit card that time, then that only one credit card got problem… end up I have to use cash all the way… which is so troublesome to me… I know, I know… some don’t like to use card… but I don’t like to use cash…

I left home around 1.15pm then went for lunch at Tanjung Aru. At around 2.00pm, proceeded to the airport. At the airport, I met my colleague, Rodolfo, who is temporary posted at Putrajaya. He is on another flight… 3.00pm++ flight, but unfortunately his flight delayed to 4.15pm because it was very windy and his plane delayed from Sandakan if I’m not mistaken.

My plane took off at 4.20pm… transit at Labuan at 4.50pm and left at 5.20pm. Touched down at KLIA at 7.20pm.

The easier way to find printer cartridge

blog

My office has so many brands of printers. Within a brand itself, it has many models, and although the printers come from the same brand, each model has its own unique cartridge.

So, whenever someone needs cartridge replacement, they don’t provide us with their cartridge reference number but only their printer model number. It’s hard for us to provide them the replacement especially when we need to order the stocks. We normally use the search engine to search for the cartridge model number and pricing, but that is not easy and very slow.

But now, life is getting better… anyone can use cartridge finder service from CartridgeFinder.com to find their printer’s cartridges including its price. The interface at their website is very user-friendly. You just need to select the brand of your printer and it will show you all the models available under the brand including the picture of the printer. Once you found your correct printer model, it will show you list of its cartridges and able to compare prices in the market through PriceGrabber.com

Epazz BoxesOS Content Management Component

blog

We have been working hard developing an online web base system called Contract Management System or CMS. The idea of having the CMS is to make the ‘system work for us’ and not ‘we work for the system’. The system work process is like, the moment someone applies for a car loan, the borrower and loan information will be entered into the system. Then the system will take over like preparations of letters. When borrowers fails to pay their installment, the system will automatically issue or print a warning letter. We don’t have to check the ‘behind payment schedule’ list all the time… that is what we called ‘system work for us’ where it saves our precious time. The CMS will work for us from the planning stage to the completion of the project.

Anyway, the development of our CMS is behind from our original schedule. Reasons of the delay are, we don’t have proper development tools, and we code lots of the functionality of the system from scratch. And it is not easy to please everyone on the system interface; each of them has their own taste.

But when I tried the epazz’s BoxesOS 3.0… boommm!.. That’s exactly what we need for our CMS. I can foresee with BoxesOS Content Management Component, the CMS’ information can be created, managed, organized, archived and shared easily. It will maximize our communication and the functionality of the CMS by providing one-stop access, secure and internet-enabled administration. Its data delivery methods through the web pages, emails, polls, documents, RSS and hot news are very impressive. I’m confident with BoxesOS 3.0 we will be able to complete the CMS on time and able to start using it to work for us from the planning stage to the completion stage of each project.
