In less than a week, the Sabah Paintball League Cup 2011 2nd Leg will kick-off… that’s on 25-26 June 2011. The first leg was held on 12-13 March 2011. Just like the first leg, it will be held at the same venue at KK Paintball Centre Field in Likas Sports Complex.

There will be more than 20 teams participating in the tournament namely… HOODLUMS, TRIBE-X, SPLATZ1, MIGHTY OWL, BOOMSLANG, TRIBE-X II, CARCASS, TXT, ROKKEAN, BRIZZIO, BAKAKUK SYNDIKETZ, PAINMISH, DRACONE, NOUNTUN, TIMBUL TENGGELAM HUNTERS, UNCLE HORNET, PEMUDA PBS TAMPARULI, SM TEKNIK LIKAS, NBE, THE HEADHUNTERS, PANTERA and CHUPACABRA.

Although it is raining most of the time lately, we are hoping for a good weather during the tournament. And hopefully, the teams will be more better equipped with new markers, goggle/mask and jersey… and possibly with barska scope if that is allowed by the organizer… 😀

Paintball enthusiasts in Sabah will be treated once again with Sabah Paintball League or SPL cup in one week time. The league is organized by KK Paintball Centre and this is going to be the second year of the cup.

There are three legs in this league and the first leg will be held at KKPC Field, Stadium Likas (next to Likas Golf Driving Range and Likas Swimming Pool Complex) from 12th to 13th March 2011.

Teams who intend and have not registered yet, you still have less than a week to do so… Hurry up.. There are 18 teams confirmed and more are registering…

On Saturday & Sunday was the Sabah Paintball League Cup 2nd Leg. I’m supposed to be assisted by two photographers for the whole event but unfortunately one can’t make it. I was assisted by Louis on the first day inside the field and on the second day, I was alone covering the whole event… but I still manage to do it alone… 😛

The weather was cloudy and sunny… and it rained the day before… the intermittence appearance of the sun is enough to make us sweating and exhausted… it was very hard to breath… the air felt thin and hot like steam… it even harder to breath since we have to wear the paintball goggle mask all the time inside the field… portable oxygen concentrators would be a great help on that time 😛

On Saturday, the game went on smoothly in the morning till evening… but it rain so hard before 3pm… fourteen matches have to be carried to the next day. On Sunday, the weather is much cooler… it was cloudy all the time… but the rain came back around 4pm… it rain even harder than the day before… the final match which supposed to be played in three matches… best of 3… only manage to be played once… both teams agreed with the single match as the deciding match… Team Pit-Bull won the event by beating Labuan Riverside. Since I’m having a little problem with my palm and foot… the Sabah Paintball League Cup photos will take a little bit of time to come out 😛

But don’t worry… it will come out eventually… sooner or later… biar lambat asal keluar bah… LOL and if anyone interested to buy high resolution photo prints, it’s gonna be a Best Buy photo prints… since it is the first leg of SPL it going to be cheap sale 😀 … and if you plan to use the photos on the web, you can use it as long you don’t remove the watermark, credit back this site and never use it for commercial gain OK… that’s about it for now…

For two days players, marshals/empires/referees, Rela, spectators and organizers/officials were battling under the hot sun… for the Sabah Paintball League Cup 2010 First Leg at Likas Paintball Field. All events went smoothly without any major obstacles… everyone were having fun under the hot sun 😀

Since everyone are tired… including me… let’s just go straight to the results… then go to sleep 😀

2nd Runner Up: Brotherhood JR
4th Placing: Brotherhood SR

Man Of The Match / Most Valuable Player (MVP) goes to Mike Athanasius (Uncle Mike) from Brotherhood.

And to those who missed this 1st leg and also to the teams who wants to ‘appeal/tidak puas hati’… see you all at the next leg. The 2nd leg will be held in Keningau on 3 – 4 July 2010.

BAH… last call for Sabah’s paintball players out there…

This is your chance to play paintball league cup… there will be three legs in this league.

For this first leg, it will be held from 6th to 7th March 2010 at the new paintball fields at Likas Stadium.

There are two categories, rookie and open.

For rookie category, it’s going to be 3 men + 3 reserve. Entrance fee is RM300 and inclusive of paintball pallets. Newbie & students are highly encourage to participate.

For open category, it’s going to be 5 men + 2 reserve. Entrance fee is RM300. You can use electrical or mechanical marker…

USPL rules will be used in this tournament.
