Today, went to help a friend to send his car to the workshop. He just want to check and service his Prado brake since he is going outstation on monday.

Then we went to Wan Wan for breakfast. I did mentioned before about ‘I tried to avoid this place’… but since someone is paying the food, I follow only lah.

I parked behind the shop… there were so many cars and customers… parking also susah… so laku lah this place. As usual, can’t find the ‘fly’… lalat… and they are drying the fish scales… according to the workers, it is used for medicine 😮

After breakfast, we went to UMW Toyota at Asia City… to see the new RUSH… I will tell about that later.

Then we went to Kota Kinabalu City Bird Sanctuary to kill time and also to take photos… I will tell about that later too 😀

No FLY also… what chemical are they using to chase away the fly?… are they using ‘toyol’?

When I’m bored, I will do anything… after lunch, I was soooo sleepy.

Today, I attended a one day workshop at Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu.

On my way, when I was going downhill towards the Penampang Bypass’ tunnel, I saw a huge & thick black cloud. It looks like a huge smoke from a burning houses or something like that.

But it doesn’t have the smoke tail from the ground… it just floating freely on the sky… then I said it must be a chemical or toxic cloud… just arrived in KK!!!

Well, I keep on driving towards Sutera Harbor Resort… then I noticed it actually coming from the Sutera’s power plant… their diesel generator… the only huge private diesel generator in the middle of the city… they claim it is ‘environmental friendly’.

It has been raining for the past one week. It was on and off during the weekdays, but it was raining continuously for the past 2+ days.

I guess it was not only raining in KK/Penampang, I’m sure the whole region is raining because during the golf live telecast of the Enjoy Jakarta Astro Indonesia Open at Cengkareng Golf Club, Jakarta Indonesia, it shows rain.

But, suddenly just before 5pm on Sunday, the sun shined.

When it rains, I like taking photo of water dripping.

Yes… My Chinese Zodiac is DOG. 

… Dogs are honest,straightforward,and friendly. They are extremely protective of themselves and their loved ones. Broadband is everyone business nowadays. If you are on the net and you are not on broadband, you are like at the slower world.

As far as broadband service at my place, streamyx and jaring is the only two wired service you can subscribe. Majority are on streamyx and I myself subscribed to streamyx… the cheapest unlimited usage 😀 because I’m not a heavy downloader.

Jaring is also providing satellite backup line. I heard Sutera Harbor Resort is using Jaring and they have satellite backup connection.

Actually, there is no point for us to subscribe to Jaring’s wired broadband because it is riding on TM/streamyx infrastructure. So, when the TM infrastructure facing problem, so do the Jaring service 🙁

As for wireless broadband… I think you can forget about it, as far as my place. Maxis, Celcom and DiGi are only able to provide EDGE or GPRS speed. Some areas will get 3G… and probably HSDPA by Maxis and Celcom. But I guarantee you, you will not be satisfied with the service quality & performance… It will be as fast as a dial-up service sometimes or  much slower… it will not worth the money you pay for the mobility service.

Anyway, if you want to test your connection speed… download & upload… try www.speedtest.net, the results is more realistic than the streamyx speedometer which I think is cheating the whole streamyx subscribers. Why I said that? Well I had the chance to setup a DSL at 1.5Mbps upload and download. The TM technician shows me using their speedometer and it shows 1.2Mbps++ for up/download. When I test it using speedtest.net, it shows almost the same results… that was when they completed the wiring.

After 2 weeks, the DSL started giving problem. When I test it using the speedtest.net, it shows more like ADSL… 1Mbps download and 512Kbps upload. But when I test it using TM’s speedometer, it shows 1.1Mbps up/download… that’s why I said their speed test is cheating the whole streamyx subscribers.
