new home for most wanted site
bahnhof, Jon Karlung, Julian Assange, manage hosting, pirate party, wikileaksIf you want something and you want it to be the best, reliable, perfect, etc… you have to have something which someone important already having it… confused?… it’s ok… coz I almost confused with my own sentence… 😆
OK, let’s talk about web hosting… it can be any type of hosting… it can be just simple hosting or managed hosting… there are many out there… thousands of them… but which one do you think you can trust and rely on… and do not care what business you going to do in the cyber world… one way to pick is to see who are their clients…
Right now, the best of the best web hosting can be the one in Stockholm, Sweden… why?… coz they are the only one dare enough to host WikiLeaks!!! I wasn’t that interested with WikiLeaks before… but things get very interesting when Visa, Mastercard, Amazon, Moneybookers and some other sites were attacked as retaliations to the blockage of WikiLeaks and the arrest of its founder, Julian Assange… it seems that armies of hacktivists are with WikiLeaks defence at anytime… how cool is that???…
And things get much more interesting when Amazon completely removed WikiLeaks from the cyber world and no one wants to host WikiLeaks after that… then Jon Karlung, chairman and founder of Bahnhof offered to host WikiLeaks…. WikiLeaks needed only two servers at Bahnhof which were holding 8,000 servers.
How dare Jon Karlung to host the most dangerous and wanted site in the world?… and why did Julian Assange accepted the offer when he needed a very secure host?…
That’s because Bahnhof is inside a snowy rocky mountain and is 30 meters underground!!! The site is actually a bunker code-named ‘pionen’… and it is not a regular bunker… it is nuclear proof bunker which was built during the Cold-War era. OK, physically it very strong and secure… how about power supply?… well, the bunker is powered by two German submarine diesel engines…. YES powered by two SUBMARINE DIESEL ENGINES!!!… I think I want to host at Bahnhof… 😀
