Our group trip to Salut Seafood Restaurant on the 4 August 2009 was very exciting… There are about 15 of us… and with only 3 ladies 😛

We started our journey around 11am in few cars… in my car was Ahaz and Mike. Four cars started from Karamunsing and the rest are from donno where… 😛

We reach Salut around 12:35pm… lol that was a very slow journey… but we were snapping photos along the way but unfortunately the weather was too hazy… the rain are gone and now we are full with haze… since the past 3 days!!!

The first thing we did was to get good table location in the floating restaurant… yes the restaurant is floating on the sea 😛

We took the corner of the restaurant where there is a power outlet. The second thing was to setup the WiFi for our LAN party.

Third is to wait for the rest to arrive and to order the food 😀 We had lots of prawns, the favorites dish… steam and fried with butter… steamed fishes… clamps, not sure what type… rice… and some more dishes which I don’t know the name coz I was not involved in ordering the foods… I was only busy taking photos 😛

When the foods arrived, everyone swam into the dishes… it was like 1.40pm already… everyone was hungry like mad buffalo or kalabau… 😛

I guess some should have taken appetite suppressant before they came here coz I believe some of the dishes did not reach us… those sitting at the other end of the long table… 😛 But we still had enough to make us all full 😀

We did not bother with electronic gears the moment the food arrive… the AP, cables, power adapters, notebooks etc… coz the foods and our gadgets were almost mixed together on the same table…

While I was washing my hand after my food, suddenly a Happy Birthday song was played in the restaurant… I thought one of the tables is having a birthday party… maybe the Japanese or Korean table, Ahaz said they are Korean, ok 😀

The washing sink was near the Korean’s table. Then the Koreans are looking and pointing at me, and clapping… I look at our table and everyone was singing and looking at me… holy crap… you all really made the BIG surprise!!! I never thought you all plan for this… my birthday is 2 days away lah… and all of you were talking like having something on the day itself… on the 6 August and not on the 4 August… 6 August is our GI Joe outing bah… GI Joe screening on my birthday… yuhoooo…

Anyway, THANKS guys and gals… love the Secret Recipes’ Chocolate Cake… if I knew someone brought Chocolate Cake, I would have not whack the prawns… 😛

Has been eating a lot lately…

Has been eating Japanese foods too many times for the past few weeks…

Then eating loads of good foods for two days during conference at Le Meridian hotel…

Then went to eat tom yam and other stuff at Bukit Padang food stalls…

Then tomorrow going for seafood at Salut…

Man… I’m gonna need some diet pills after all this eating frenzy… 😛

Or maybe I’m not gonna need any of those pills coz I’m going to burn the fats back soon by doing load of works…

I… we… are looking forward for out seafood outing at Salut tomorrow… prawns, fish, squids, oysters, clams… wow…

And we are going to do some LAN party there… O_O

Asbestos has been banned throughout European Union since 1 January 2005. Europe’s trade unions have been particularly responsible for the battle to ban asbestos for the world because most of the development and production of asbestos were mostly by European companies.

But why are they banning what they have produced before?

It is all because asbestos is a cancer causing material… it kills. For example the mesothelioma, it is a type of cancer caused by asbestos which particularly attack the membranes that surround many of the body’s vital organs.

Although asbestos has been banned since 2005, the huge quantities produced by the world throughout the 20th century will continue killing tens of thousands of people every year for the next two decades.

European Union estimated 500,000 deaths related to asbestos up to the year of 2030… and that estimate is only for Western Europe alone… it has not included other parts of the world.

Let’s hope our government will enforce the asbestos banned in our country strictly… I still remember my old school’s roof which are made of asbestos… I hope I’m not going to get any of the asbestos related health condition… cross my finger.

There are many ways to waste time while online. If you are on facebook, there are many addictive games in it.

If you are on yahoo’s games or king’s game before, I’m sure you have seen some of the games from the two sites being offered in facebook today… well, some of the games are old or classics game… but still fun to be played.

The recent game I saw in facebook is the game with many jewels on it… well the sparkling jewels are nice to see on screen and probably much better if we can download it and turn it into heart pendant necklace… 😆 The game is called Jewel Puzzle.

But my favorite game on facebook at the moment is the Mafia Wars… this game really can waste lots of your time. I’m trying to reduce the amount of time checking on this game everyday… it has taken over some of my precious time… I’m almost completing the Boss level… hopefully once I’ve finish this level, I won’t play that much after this… 😀

Did you all notice that Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (Kota Kinabalu City Hall) or DBKK has been upgrading the public toilets lately?

I don’t really use public toilet because of the cleanliness issues. I can’t really recall when the last time I use public toilet in KK was.

When I saw them tearing down and rebuilding the public toilet in Tanjung Aru, I said here goes another public fund wasting project.

But a few weeks ago, while I was in Damai Luyang having lunch, I really need to pee. I finish my food and decided to use the newly rebuild public toilet nearby. Although I can use the shop’s toilet, but I just want to try the toilet since it is very near to the shop… just across the road.

I went there and ask the ladies manning the toilet how much do I need to pay to use the toilet… she said 20 cents… I paid and went into the gents. The toilet is very clean… sparkling… looks like 5 star hotel wash room.

But the one really shocked me was the sink faucets… it is the sensor type faucet. It’s not that I never use that kind of faucet… I used them in places like hotel, conference hall and many other places which are well maintained but never expected it to be in public toilet!!! Did DBKK use the cheap faucets or discount faucets?… I don’t think so… thumbs up to DBKK for upgrading the public toilets… with sophistication!!!

In the MCSE class last night, after we had a big dinner at the Karamusing Food Court, me, Disney and Donny, went to a pharmacy nearby. We went to the pharmacy not to go there to buy diet pill or any other diet thingy after our big dinner but Disney wanted to buy mask… surgical mask.

Well, the news about the H1N1 outbreak is getting warmer in KK… the nearest incident to my office is the primary school at Tanjung Aru. Disney bought a box of 50 surgical masks.

To test the mask, we plan to wear it to the class and probably scare the class at the same time and the people at the college too 😆

We went to the wash room at the 6th floor of the Karamunsing Complex and put on the mask. Then we walk to the class at 2nd floor.

Well, we look like clowns wearing the mask… 😆

I guess the class got a little bit shocked with our antique…

Wearing the mask is not very comfortable…. this is the first time I wear a mask. It feels very warm inside because of the warm breath. We wore the mask throughout the class… but I have to lift it up from time to time because I can’t stand the warm air generated inside…

But there was sad news at the end of the class… one of the students has been quarantine because his kid was suspected infected with the H1N1… OMG!!! We were just trying out the mask… and this news is really news to us!!!

I think we need to be careful with our activities from now on… sound not very safe… we don’t even know if the person next to us is infected or not… but this should not cause panic… everyone should just be careful and be prepared with all the precautions.

One of our office door lock has been broken for ages… ages like 3 years?… We have informed and reminded the building management about it many times.

The reason they can’t fix the lock is ‘the existing lock is no longer available in the market’… if a new lockset is installed on the existing door, it will leave a big hole on it and they have to patch the bigger holes which will make the door ugly.

So what is the solution?… well, the solution is to replace the door… 😮

But to replace the door too, will take ages… The door is not that sophisticated… it is not even a custom door… it is not a Naples Fl custom doors… it is just a normal and simple door made of plywood… it is not made from hard wood or metal… come on, I’m sure you can get this door at any hardware shop without any problem… maybe you can even find it at the hardware shop behind my house…

Anyway, at last they fixed the whole problem by replacing the door leaf and install a new lockset… but the new door leaf looks expensive compared to the door next to it… now, should I ask them to replace the other door too so that the office environment looks balanced… it looks so unbalanced now… by just looking at the two doors you should be able to tell already…

After staying together with my HTC TyTn II for more than 2 years, on the 28 July 2009, it finally says ‘It’s over buddy!!!… I can let you play with me but I can’t let you use me any longer!!!… I don’t like you use me, it’s painful…’

NOoooo… how could you do this to me… my heart is broken… it hurts so much… how could you do this to me?… WHY?… Why?… why?…

I know I do bad things to you sometimes… but I did not do it on purpose… bad things happen you know… how do I know that you are going to jump out from my pocket?… or jump down from the table?… or jump into the toilet bowl?…

I tried my best to keep this relation as long as I can… I know, I did fall for the HTC Touch HD since last year… but I did promise I will not change, especially this year because of the bad economy… I won’t be able to keep both of you at the same time… and I don’t want to loose you… don’t you remember?…

But now, you just shut me off… errr… half shut off… it really hurts!!!

You’ve been acting weird for the past one week. At random time, after I use you, you just block things for no reason… are you trying to say you have headache after our good times?…

Then when I try to have supper with you at night, sometimes you don’t show it… I don’t know if you like it or not… I need some indicator to tell me but you don’t show it… although I can see in your face that you are taking it nicely and happily…

Now, I have no choice but to get another… start another affair… you forced me to do this… I don’t want to do it, but you forced me to do this!!!… And I wish there are sales at this time… now I’m broke because I have to take the HTC Touch Pro2… without discount. But I’m happy with Touch Pro2 now although I still need you… the iPhone can’t come close to it… it is an iPhone killer… yes… it is much better than the iPhone… I hate iPhone anyway… iPhone really sucks…

I guess the rains are gone today… 🙁

The beautiful clouds are gone too… 🙁

I’m very sad coz there is no more rain or cloud…

When I’m sad, I will say WHY?…

If there is war… war in the Middle East… or anywhere… I want the rain and cloud to take it away with it… and there will be PEACE to mankind…

The top picture shows the morning sky along Penampang Bypass Road today. See the difference?… there are no more cloud… I hope the sadness is gone too… gone together with the rain… gone together with the cloud… aahhh…

Since there is no rain or cloud today, it is a bit hazy and a bit hot… but still OK… bearable…

If there is no rain tomorrow or Sunday, I will send my car for washing… cleaning… I wanna give my car a pressure washers coz I have not wash my car for the past three weeks… three weeks you ask?… well probably I’m too lazy… I have to be kind to my car now… I must wash it tomorrow…

The dirt are quite visible on the body surface… luckily my car is not black… it is silver, so the whitish color from the sandy dirt on it is not that much visible although they are quite thick. And luckily no one write something on my car’s dirt… 😆

I’m still sad and confused… WHY?… WHY?… and tomorrow… and the day after… I have to take my exam… I have not studied… should I study tonight or play games?… play the Mafia Wars?… Oooo well… we’ll see that tonight… Oooo no… I have exam for two days… I can’t send my car for washing tomorrow… WHY?… WHY?…

And because I felt a bit low for the past few days… I feel very low… low with energizer battery… but maybe nobody notice it coz I look physically fit 😀

So today I bought my supplement at Karamunsing… hopefully it will make me clever and make me pass for the exam… 😆

Lately, my area is having loads of rain… No… No, I’m not complaining about rain. I like rain… much better than too much heat.

But actually, I prefer when it cloudy… the air is much cooler with beautiful rays of light. Usually it will be cloudy in the morning but with enough sun rays… just nice to dry cloths 😀

In the afternoon, it will be sunny… sometimes the heat is too much.

Then in the late evening, it will start raining… heavy rains. This is the best time to see the heavy rain… very cold and a bit windy. But the only problem is when the wind is too strong.

Last week, on Friday night, there was heavy rain followed with strong wind. Probably it was a monsoon wind. That night, the wind was OK at my place, but I didn’t know that about 20KM away, the wind was blowing so strong that many trees and signboards were blow away.

While driving last Saturday evening, I saw many tree branches on the road. And I also saw few roof sheets and furniture lying besides the road. Probably the furniture is outdoor furniture… else if the furniture is from inside the house… man, the wind must be so strong and suck-out the furniture from inside the house!

There is still rain followed by mild wind this week… hopefully it will stay like that.
