First Day at EC-Council
blog October 30th, 2007I woke up around 6.20 yesterday (monday) and get ready for my first day. Went down and had my breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant.
Around 8.10am, ride a taxi to Damansara 1 near Estin Hotel. Arrived there around 8.45, paid the taxi $11.00
Luckily EC-Council is easy to find. There was no EC-Council people around, but 2 clients I guess. Seems their staffs are busy preparing the PCs inside the classroom. Sit and waited for a while. When they came out, I introduced myself and asked about my class. Looks like I’m the first one to arrived! I went into the classroom and pick my seat.
As usual, choose the back seat. Later, found out I’m the only ‘paying’ participant. Another 5 participants are from UNITAR who came as complimentary participants. I end up sitting in the front.
EC-Council just moved in here, so my class and another, are the first class conducted in this new site… so everything are new. Hot and cold drinks are free flow.
After the class, I have to look for a taxi. But for taxi to come over here they have to pass through the paying boom gate, so there are no taxi around. While circling around figuring how to go back, I saw a taxi passed the gate… so I went to the exit side and waited for it. After like 5 minutes, the taxi appeared and I stopped it.
Luckily the taxi is willing to take me. And it cost me $15.00
Dinner time, I went to the Mid Valley food court and ate Japanese food for $14.00. After dinner, I went to look for book… someone ask me to buy a book. Lucky (again) I found it at MPH. then went to buy some more foods at Jusco.
Went back to my room and surfed until 1.00am.

1. But I thought Verus couldnt go because this same course is fully booked?? Then it turned out you’re the only one there?
2. The taxi situation in Intan Bukit Kiara also really terrible – need to go out right next to the highway to hail taxis. The other way of course is to get to know an ethical taxi driver and just call him to pick you up. The flip side to that trick is: I did that while I was in Bukit Kiara in March-May, but I had to drop him when I realised he was overcharging me!

opppsss… how did i miss this 1…
OK, there are only 2 classes conducted on that week, my class and another class which Verus supposed to attend but fully booked. Verus is not attending my class, Mardi supposed to join me. So, Verus have to go sometimes this month if I’m not mistaken… unfortunately, since Mardi did not cancelled himself professionally, EC-Council still have to charge him… but he or anyone can come to the class later on… which i think, a ‘proper member’ should take the chance.
As for the taxi, i did booked 1 to solve my problem since taxi don’t come to the place unless they are sending passenger.
