Do you know that the safest mode of transport is by air, yet still not many people prefer to travel by air.

Comparing the total number of accidents with death between road and air, it shows that road fatality is much higher than air fatality.

Anyway, on 3 December 2009, two jet planes almost collided in Atlanta mid-air. With all the sophisticated instruments on board the planes and also at the airport control tower around the world like radar, ILS, GPS, etc… still near misses occur… but almost all cases are not caused by the instruments, but human error.

Lucky, with the sophisticated instruments, although human error occur, these instruments manage to avoid disaster at the very last few seconds by taking over the plane or by warning the pilots.

A 155mph gusting wind almost crashed a Lufthansa plane while landing at Hamburg airport. Luckily, the German pilots manage to bring back the Airbus A320 back on air but not before scrapping the ground with its left wing.
