Murray Feiss?

lighting, Murray Feiss

Every time my MCSE class go for dinner before the class start, we always pass by this lighting shop… they have all kind of nice and beautiful lighting on display.

They have the ceiling mounted, wall mounted, post mounted, hanging lantern, chandelier and even ceiling fan with lighting… for indoor and outdoor lighting… almost all are nice and beautiful to look at, probably they are from the Murray Feiss design collection 😀

Whenever I come close to those lighting, I always try to touch them… especially those hanging on the ceiling coz they are quite low… 😀

I had planned to take photos of the lighting long time ago… but I just don’t feel like to snap on them… I just enjoy looking at them and touching those lamps.

But, a few days ago, I decided to take a couple of photos… the photos wasn’t that great coz I was taking it in the rush… they are really looks nice and beautiful if you see it right there, I think you won’t be able to see the beauty of it from those photos… coz like I said, it was taken hurriedly, so the result was not really that good… I was doing it hurriedly probably I was scared the shop owner might catch me and start asking all kind silly questions… I hate that when it happen.

Are you playing Farmville?…

What? You donno what is Farmville?…

No… No… No… I did not spell it wrong… Not the TV series Smallville… not the story about Superman’s Teenage Years… No, not that one… but it is almost like the life of Mr. Clark on his farm… or was it ranch?… living in the country side doing farming 😀

If you really don’t know what is Farmville then you are not on Facebook… 😛

Well, Farmville is a game on Facebook.

You are the farmer… and you are given a land to farm…

On each level, new item are open up for sale… for you to buy… and to put it on your farm… but to buy it, you need money… to get money, you have to farm and sell your produce… 😛

You can buy seeds, trees, animals, buildings, decorations, vehicles, expand your farm and many more…

Recently, I’ve saved enough monies and reached the level where I can buy these manufactured homes… I’ve purchase the Log Cabin and Farm House… 😀 Next I want to buy a Villa which cost $1,000,000.00 😛

So, what do you think about my farm at Farmville… 😀

Remove your driver side floor mat… it can cause accident!

accident, camry, lawyer, lexus, prius, tacoma, thundra, toyota, vehicles

Toyota Motor Corporation is recalling 3.8 million vehicles… the largest-ever recall they ever do in US. Previously, the highest recall they ever made was in 2005 when they recalled 900,000 vehicles to fix a steering issue.

This time they are recalling the 3.8 million vehicles for a dangerous floor mat!!!… Yes, a dangerous FLOOR MAT!!!… it was in the news today…

Floor mat can cause accident?… I know it sound so unbelievable… but yes, Toyota is recalling their vehicles for that reason… floor mat! Maybe only Tacoma car accident lawyer can explain this… 😆 Toyota spokesman said until the company finds a fix, owners should take out the removable floor mat on the driver’s side and not replace it.

According to Toyota the models affected are Toyota Camry, the top-selling passenger car in America, and the Toyota Prius , the best-selling gas-electric hybrid.

The recall will affect 2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon , 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra , 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 and 2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350.

When it is huge… you glad it is huge… and satisfied!

flash drive, pen drive, protable, storage, thumb drive, usb drive

Throughout the years I have used all kind of pen drives… many type of brand, small and big storage size and all kind of design.

Pen drive has many names… sometimes people call it usb drive… sometimes they called it thumb drive… or pen drive… or flash drive.. and so on… but it all referring to the same device… a portable storage… with huge storage size…

Kingston DataTraveler 200

If I remember correctly, the first thumb drive I used was a 256 KB by Apacer… I think it was somewhere in 2003.

Then the storage size of these thumb drives grows… and it keep growing… until donno what size… And every time during any IT events, Promotional usb drive will always be the hottest item especially during IT Expo or sales… and its price can drop up to 50% or more of the retail price.

The biggest storage size of thumb drive I ever seen is a 128GB!!! And it cost somewhere around RM1,500.00 or USD$470.00 😮

Then, from the manufacturer’s website, the biggest storage size I can find is 256GB!!!… man… soon, we don’t have to carry those ‘gigantic’ 2.5” potable hard disk any more…

My new hand phone gets airborne

airborne, cafe, food, life, marina, sutera harbor

Last Friday, 18 September, six of us were treated for Ramadan buka puasa buffet at the Marina Café, Sutere Harbour.

We book a table for six for 7.45 dinner buffet… the buffet is from 6pm to 10pm but we don’t want to go early because it will be packed with those who are breaking their fast… after all none of us are fasting 😀

When I book for the table on that evening, I requested for the open terrace… coz I’m sure it’s not going to rain on that night… and I wanted to sit next to the Sutera Harbour’s golden bird. Unfortunately the management put us inside the café and it was brightly lit… it was next to the hallway… 🙁

Well, we don’t want to complain so much, there are actually not many guest when we arrived… and most of the guests are sitting near the buffet tables… and we are sited quite a distance from the buffet table, so we have to make a long trip to get our foods… they did told me about this when I made the reservation.

But good part, our table is next to the entertainer’s micro stage… the entertainer is an old couple called The Mahoney’s… Johnny and Shelley. They live in their boat berthed at the Sutera Harbor marina. We believe the couple travel around the world on their boat and every time they stop, they just get some simple work like entertainer… not sure how long they have been here, but good enough for them to sing Tinggi Tinggi Gunung Kinabalu… they goes to some of the table for song request and for our table, Ahaz requested for Unchanged Melody 😀

OK back to the food, the foods are ok but not much coz we believe most of the good food is all taken by those breaking their fast at around 6.30pm… but they do refill the food. On our table they put a big red candle inside a big glass cylinder with some metal decoration around it… and not on a wall candle sconces… 😀

After the food, we went to the marina to take some photos… yea, brought along my big gun. Then came the idea to take group airborne photos… and that’s where my hand phone… yea the hand phone I just bought a couple of months ago to replace my old broken hand phone… get airborne and crashed landed on the marina walkway… lucky it’s still working although the body is bent and there are parts opening up a bit… 😛 have to send it for repair soon… dang…

Look closely... and you will see the handphone is getting airborne... 😛

Shish Kebab

food, kebab, life, middle eastern, shish kebab, shishkebab

Instead of learning how to reduce food intake, I learned more about new foods… it’s festive time… food are everywhere… what can I do? 😆

I think I just want to talk more about food and drinks for now… so forget about dieting… forget about weight loss diet program that you can think of… let’s just talk about food and eat eat eat… OK?…

OK, I’m sure most of you have heard the word kebab before… middle eastern kind of food or delicacy… but not shishkebab or shish kebab, right?…

Shishkebab is something new to me too… thanx to a friend who told me about it… shishkebab also a middle eastern kind of food.

Shishkebab is made of lamb, olive oil, lemon, salt, pepper, onion, tomatoes, eggplant, bay leaves and green pepper… and sometimes added with paprika…

I love lamb very much… emmbeeeekkkkk… 😀

Shish kebab is prepared by cutting the lamb meat into 1 inch cubes and mixed with olive oil, lemon juice, etc… and then marinated in the fridge for 4 to 5 hours.

There are many ways to prepare it… it all depend on the culture or country…

It can be cook over an open wood fire or in an oven broiler… for me open wood fire or BBQ will be great… but any good food I will take, no problem one, eat only… 😆

Eid Mubarak… Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri…

appetite suppressants, Eid Mubarak, foods, Hari Raya, life

Eid Mubarak… Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri… To all my Muslim relatives and friends.

As usual, each time religious or cultural festivals are celebrated here in Malaysia… there will be many open houses.

When there are open houses, there will be plenty of foods… 😀

There will be all kind of foods for the celebration… traditional foods like Malay foods, Indian foods, Chinese foods… and not forgetting the ethnic food especially in Sabah… will make the celebration more meaningful.

In conjunction with the Hari Haya, there will be 2 days public holidays… 20th and 21st September… Sunday and Monday… but since the first day of Hari Raya falls on Sunday, Tuesday is also declared as public holiday 😀

People will only be back to work on Wednesday… but too many public holidays is bad for business but good for the people to have long leave and to enjoy for a while.

Three days of holidays to enjoy foods will surely make lots of people gain extra baggage… 😀 so to those who can’t resist their appetite when they see the rendang dodol, kari kambing, ketupat, kuih muih… better get some appetite suppressants 😛

OK people, enjoy the holiday and enjoy the foods 😀 and don’t worry, just eat… the food are there to be eaten, don’t waste them… 😆

Like my friend said… have fun and eat eat eat alot 😀 😀 😀

I Need Beer

alcohol, beer, george gellad, laziza, lebanon, middle east, non-alcoholic

Today, 14 September 2009, I’m on leave for two days… 😀

I’m taking leave for the MCSE exam today and tomorrow… Wednesday will be a public holiday… YAY… 3 days of no work… 😀 then next week there will be another 3 days of public holiday from Monday to Wednesday for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Eid El Fitr… in two weeks and only works for 4 days? How cool is that 😀

Woke up around 8 something this morning and started playing games and messaging online with a friend instead of studying… 😛

Then went to send my mun somewhere around 10am…

… all without having breakfast.

Then came back home around 10.15 am coz no one at home… have to take care the house…

Was thinking what to eat for breakfast… at the end, I prepared myself with a packet of curry flavored Maggi Mee, the ultimate instant noodles in Malaysia… 😆 …4 ‘sticks’ of beef sausages… two eggs (mata lembu or cow’s eyes style)… a cup of Nescafe 3in1… I hate coffee but I don’t have much choice… and a cup of F&N Orange soft drink… to clear the coffee smell in my mouth 😛

Now the clock shows 11.20am… and I have not started studying…

Probably I need a booster.. how about a can of beer?… 😆

Not the kind of beer you all thinking… I’m thinking more on beer like Root Beer, the non-alcoholic beer… or the Laziza Beer… yep, Laziza… I’m sure not many of you aware there is such thing as Laziza Beer other than the Root Beer from F&N 😛

This is what I found a bout Laziza Beer

“The first beer brewed in the Middle East. Mr. George Gellad introduced Laziza beer in Lebanon in 1931. As such, Laziza is the first beer to be ever brewed in the region. Laziza’s success was immediate, and it rapidly grew to be the beer of reference in the Middle East…”

emm… should I import the Laziz Beer from Lebanon and sell it here?… 😀

…. dang, while posting this to my blog just before 12pm, suddenly my blog server disconnected and my blog is completely inaccessible… 😛 have to keep trying…. that’s why I need a beer 😛

But for now, I’m going to study… 😛

… cool the server is back online… and the clock shows almoust 1pm… almost 1 hour down… 😛

Once this is published, I will continue with my study for the 6pm exam… 😛

Fire the bastard…

angry, bastard, joke, stupid, teacher

I don’t like to say bastard… but…

If this is true… I’m damm pissed off!!! Bastard!!!

If this is true… and if I have the authority to fire the bastard… I will do it right now!!!

If this is true… and after reading this, and you feel the bastard is not a bastard… then you are bastard too!!!

Joke my foot… bastard!!!

Boy skips UPSR exam over ‘joke’ by teacher
NST Online – 2009/09/11

GURUN: It was apparently meant as a joke, but because of a remark from his teacher a 12-year-old boy skipped his Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah examination.

A few days before the UPSR started on Tuesday, Mohd Khairul Anuar Md Isa told his mother his teacher at SK Paya Mengkuang had said he might as well not turn up for the exam because he would fail.

“My son did not take this piece of advice lightly,” Rohani Ahmad said at her Kampung Paya Mengkuang home yesterday.

“I kept telling him he should go but he said he was afraid.”

She said on Wednesday she and her husband Md Isa Ahmad took him to school, but he came back home, again saying he was afraid.

“I’m saddened by the way the teacher and the school authorities treated my son. He may not be the best student in his class, but he should have been given a chance to sit the exam.”

School principal Hasnah Hussin and two others were at the boy’s home when the New Straits Times visited.

She apologised to Khairul and his parents, saying it had been a misunderstanding.

I hope it can end here and that it is not made into a big issue. The teacher might have been joking and Khairul took it seriously. Whenever there is an exam around the corner, our teachers tell their pupils to make sure they come,” Hasnah said. ==> my comment: you stupid idiot!!! how the heck did you got that position!!! This is the problem with out education system… saling maaf memaafkan and sweep under the carpet… when the wrong is clear cut, u can’t ‘right the wrong’… please don’t…

The state Education Department director could not be reached for comment.
