A Quickie on TechEd SEA 2008
microsoft, Steve Riley, teched, techedsea2008 August 28th, 2008TechEd SEA 2008 was fantastic!!! The closing was the most exciting… really KABOOM… like last year, once again hosted by Daphne Iking.
Guitar Hero competition…
This time, I did not attend much track but spend most of my time at the exhibition hall… Well, what do you expect a five timer attendee ‘senior’ will do? Let the ‘junior’ fills up the track-room 😀
As usual, Steve Riley’s track is the most crowded… he should be given the Planery Hall instead of the Banquet Hall :O
Like I said before, this guy is the only one wearing short and don’t use the stage…
The track session at Room 306 is too small for the crowd. Hope the organizer will take note on this for next year event… and hopefully I still can make it next year.
Will be continued…

ah..tech ed!
learn any useful thing? i got a friend from college did visit and only manage to understand 30% of what they are presenting.
[29Aug2008] learn anything? sure got…
30%? tats good already coz some I’m sure totally lost in space… 😆 It actually will depends on the track session. If it not related with wat you doing, then it will definitely hard to understand. But the beauty of TechEd is, you can enter any track session, and if it not for you, you can go to another track session… 😀

You seems to enjoy TechED. You attended it for the last 5 years. Is it for your own interest or on job duty ?
[29Aug2008] yep, enjoy it very much plus “cuti-cuti malaysia” 😆
Both… becoz of Microsoft and ICT is my line of duties 😀

I am going to comment Mahathir style i.e. with para numbers.
1. Welcome back to blogging. I know you did a few other posts but the frequency was much less than before.
2. What makes the closing most interesting, apart from the fact that the sexiest Unduk Ngadau ever emceed it?
3. Of all MS related closings the greatest must be the time when Bill Gates was onstage and someone challenged him to a Guitar Hero duel. Then Bill produced his “wakil” and it was none other than one of my favourite heavy metal guitarists, Slash, formerly of Guns N Roses. I can imagine that if I were there and hearing the opening chords of Welcome to The Jungle a few meters away, with Bill watching bemusedly on one side, I’d definitely storm the stage 🙂
[29Aug2008] haiyooo… why lah you put his name here… you know politic blogger are under attack… later my blog kena ban for no reason… 😛
Anyway….
1. thanx… and tat is true.
2. shows on stage, guitar hero, teh tarik (not really, it is rubber tarik), lucky draws… etc…
3. wah… :O tats massive dude

Welcome back…it’s great to hear you enjoyed TechEd. I was looking thru the list I didn’t realize there were many deptmates who also went. Some even paid with their own money. I’m NOT a Microsoft fan…will be even lesser of a “fan” due the recent announcement on XP.
[30Aug2008]
Thanx… Yep, some of them took leave and went at their own expenses, two of them to be exact… there are 10 of us including both of them. Well, if you are a fan of Microsoft, money is not important but the knowledge and the fun you experience while at TechEd 😀
