At last, got some time to post today… life is so busy…

I was outstation to Kundasang last week, 19th – 20th July 2007. Me and my 2 colleagues went there to present 3 systems for our office management meeting… we brought along quite a number of gadgets… unfortunately there was no internet service out there… well, we are almost at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. We stayed at Zen Garden Cabin & Restaurant. Since there were 3 of us, we took a big room with 3 beds.

Unfortunately, when we entered our room, there were only 2 beds. Worse, no in-house phone service and we don’t know what their phone number is… it was pre-arrange by the secretariat. So, my colleague has to walk downhill to the reception. Then later we found out two of the ceiling light are not working, no shower curtain and no floor mat to dry our feet… later the bath room get wet all over… but we cant be bother with that anymore… we were so tired… what the heck… but I’m not saying the place is bad… it’s actually very nice.

We started our journey from KK around 10am+… I drove my car… and claim for transportation service since I used it to ferry my 2 colleagues and the gadgets. We actually over-shoot the hotel junction which is just next to the Kundasang market ground… we only realize that when we were getting closer to Ranau. At last we made a U turn at almost 9KM to Ranau… wasted about 30KM!!! KK to Kundasang is like almost 100KM… we reach the hotel around 1pm+… just on time for lunch… we walk-in quietly and join the rest for the lunch. The rest arrived yesterday since they have a conference on the first day. Our presentation is on the second day around 2pm… that’s why we only come today.

After lunch, the rest continue with their conference and we went to check-in. Had a short nap… although the place supposed to be cold, but it turn out not to be. Around 3pm+, Yen called us, the conference is over. So, the 3 of us went to the conference room with our gadgets to prepare our stuff. We finished around 6pm+. Went back to our room, had shower and went for dinner around 7.30pm+… unfortunately the top guns are not around yet… they went for golf… so we have to wait… we only started our dinner around 8pm+… and everyone are dying for food… everyone dive into the food!!!

After dinner, we continued with our preparation at the conference room while the rest went to the karaoke lounge to do their poco-poco dance challenge!!! We went back to our room around 10pm… and retired for the night.

We went for breakfast the next morning around 7.30am+. As usual, we always wear polo t-shirts… the rest must be surprised… but heck, we are not attending the meeting yet… our turn is at the evening. We had our breakfast and decide to go ‘jalan-jalan’ to take photos. The Mount Kinabalu was barely visible since yesterday… covered with clouds. Inside the car… I received a call from ‘bos’… asking about this and that… ahhh…. (not going to talk bout tat here…!)

So we went to Kinabalu Pine Resort… and later back in KK, I read in the newspaper about Kinabalu Pine Resorts bagged the National Trourism Gold Medal for 2 Star Resorts… cool… in fact Sabah bagged 6 Gold Medals all together I think.

After ‘jalan-jalan’ we went back to our room for another round of nap… around 12pm we had our lunch. After lunch, went to our room and get ready… with proper shirts. Went to the conference room and be prepared… nothing much happened in the meeting room… went smoothly… except we forgot to install the Acrobat Reader… damm… The meeting was over at around 4.30pm… the rest went for coffee and back to KK. We… as usual, have to pack-up our gadgets… put them into my car and rush to the coffee house for a coffee before heading home. Then…. there… the mountain is coming out… cool… so took loads of photos… until it was fully uncovered from clouds. Around 5.30pm, we went to pay our room… we paid RM85 each… then headed home… arrived at KK office around almost 8pm… dump our gadgets into the server room and we break apart to our home… that’s it… Kundasang Trip!
