Endeavour land safely… NASA Halt High-Speed Pursuits!(?)

nasa, space

While checking for Endeavour’s safe landing at NASA website, I came across with an article… NASA Helps Halt High-Speed Pursuits… woookay… NASA is about high-speed… but pursuits?… what the heck are they pursuit-ing (pursuing) now? ALIEN?… have they found ALIEN? Alien spaceship?… YES? NO?…

OK, before I go on…  back to the Endeavour first… Endeavour and its crew landed safely at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Aug. 21, 2007, capping a nearly 13-day mission to the International Space Station. The 3-inch gouge on its belly caused by a chunk of insulation foam that flew off the fuel tank on it launched on August, 8, did not endangered it during its fiery return… it was not repaired as planed.

OK, back to the pursuit thingy…

When I check it out… it actually about stopping CAR!!! Stopping criminal’s car while being pursuit… and not alien’s car or spaceship. The aticle said:

“Thanks in part to NASA research, law enforcement now has better “teeth” to take a bite out of crime. A tire deflation device (TDD) is a strip that contains embedded metal spikes. The strip is thrown over the road in front of a speeding vehicle, deflating the tires and forcing it to stop. This device lets law enforcement stop a speeding vehicle safely, often without the need of a dangerous high-speed pursuit.”

With the advent of wireless broadband, it has become easier to access internet in remote areas as it provides diverse wireless internet coverage. You can have access to wireless internet cafe or can enjoy the verizon wireless with full supportive features including the low-cost wireless router, which is compatible both for Windows and Macintosh computers.

Endeavour having minor problem… in space!

blog, space

Once again, the space shuttle Endeavour lifted off to space on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Their mission is to the International Space Station

One of the crew on board is a former teacher who first trained with crew of the ill-fated Challenger in 1986.

Endeavour will dock for seven days with the ISS. When it does a rendezvous pitch maneuver on August 10, while it approaches the ISS, its belly shows some scary image on it.

NASA reported there is ice damage on Endeavour’s belly causing a gouge on its heat shield… oooo man… not again… According to NASA, a laser inspection has found a gouge estimated to be 3 1/2 inches long and just over 2 inches wide.

If you ever watched sci-fi movie before… the two photos are just like junk space-ship floating on space un-man…

Lets hope everything will be OK… and hope Endeavour will land on earth safely.
