Not A Long Day After All

blog

Yesterday two meetings was in Pan Pacific Sutera. I did not turn into ‘excusy’, ‘keras kepala’ or ‘screen saver’ mode. Instead I turned into ‘defensive’ or maybe plus a little bit of ‘keras kepala’ mode. I got angry because someone tried to show his ‘inteligency’ which turn into craps. Anyway, I don’t really care about that for now becoz I’m going to deal with that later… as for the food, as usual 5* food… whack only lah…

Thank God I’m a Country Boy

blog, youtube

While searching for John Denver’s Thank God I’m a Country Boy in the youtube, I found this one very interesting. Two of the singer did forget their line, but luckily they manage to recover. I think they are to be ‘professional choir singer’ student, which is why they know how to handle the situation. But I’m sure the first guy who forgot his line is very thankful that the next singer after him also forgot his line… Yea, Thank God!

Mortgage, Credit Cards or Loans … which one?

blog

Christmas is everyone’s celebration because it is next to New Year. It’s going to be a long break between the two celebrations. Most people will start taking leaves before Christmas and run until after New Year so it’s going to be more than a weak… probably two weeks or more.

Some will go for holiday overseas, some will take holiday around the country or some will just stay at home. Whichever choice you take, you will have to spend some money during this holiday season. Are you going to mortgage your house if you are going for overseas holiday? I hope no one will do that… I’m sure using your credit cards is good enough to cover your expenses. Well, if you really need some extra cash for this holiday season to buy presents or do some little renovation on your house, try personal loans or unsecured loans. But what ever you do, please spend wisely during the holiday seasons.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day

blog, life, work

I will be in two meetings for the whole day tomorrow. In the morning, it’s going to start from 9.00am until 1.00pm. Lucky, breakfast at 8.00am and lunch at 1.00pm will be provided, so I don’t have to use my credit cards since it will be held in a 5* hotel. In the evening, there will be another meeting from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. And both meeting are… I’ll say ‘crucial’… hopefully there will be no ‘firing’… else I just turn to ‘excusy’ mode or ‘keras kepala’ mode… or worse turn to ‘screen saver’ mode…

No more buying drinking water

blog

Yipeee… we don’t have to bring or buy drinking water anymore. We installed a water filter in our office today… It’s not only in our office but it is ‘inside’ our office. We just hope no one will start collecting water to bring home since it is free… I think it is happening at other office.

New vertical blinds for our office

blog

As I mentioned earlier, some part of my office has been renovated. A new working bench was build in the middle of the room attached with a new pantry. The ceilings are completely replaced. Same goes with the old dusty rotten Venetian blind. The floor is tiled, no more pot-holes inside our office.

The old Venetian blind is replaced with new vertical blinds. The new vertical blinds are made of fabrics just like the one in SelectBlind.com. I choose shade of blue for the new blind. Blue is the best color for the office since it will protect us from the strong evening sun. When the strong evening sun shine on it, the blue colored vertical blinds will make the room ‘cooler’ and make it nicer to our eyes. The blue vertical blinds also make the room brighter and lively all the time.

Stitching in Space on 300 Volts

blog

The Malaysian cosmonaut really left a big bang. First the capsule carrying them off shoot and crash landed some miles away. Then, his brother passed away. Then, the solar panels at ISS fail to open fully because it tangles with some cable which ripped some part of the solar panel… pure coincidence or simply bad luck?

When I saw the ‘torn’ solar panel on the newspaper a few days ago… damm this is big trouble… But as usual, NASA always has backup plan… They use a physician astronaut who is a medical doctor by profession to fix it. It took him 4 hours to ‘stitch’ the torn panel. The mission is quite dangerous as touching the panels risked a shock from the 300 volts current they carried as compared to the 240 volts we have at home.

Shuttle Commander Pamela Melroy to Dr. Parazinsky, “It appears you have some kind of surgery to do Dr. Parazinsky.”
