multipurpose room

blinds, Blinds Chalet, blindschalet, curtain, renovation, screen shades, shutters, venetian blinds, window blinds

What is the good thing with new year?… there are many… getting new stuffs… or loosing something, which is very unfair sometimes. Well, towards the end of last year, the management suddenly decided to ‘encroach’ into our training cum meeting cum multipurpose cum store room… ๐Ÿ˜›

We have been using the room for IT training and when it is not used for training, we used it for meeting or discussion… we have lots of discussion each month. And earlier this year, we were promised that the room will be renovated so that we can have a proper store room. So, discussion on how the training cum multipurpose room and the store room gonna be was done a few rounds…. and the final design was agreed by all. But now, that is just a dream… we lost the training cum multipurpose room and only given the store room.. ๐Ÿ˜› sad… now we have nowhere to go when we need to conduct meeting or discussion… ๐Ÿ˜›

The supposed to be training cum multipurpose room will be turned into office instead… ๐Ÿ˜› Who ever going to sit there gonna be very lucky… new walls, new ceiling, new computers… everything are new… even the venetian blinds going to be new… probably they gonna get the blinds from www.blindschalet.com ๐Ÿ˜› I hope they will allow us to change our blinds and paint our office too… as a compensation for taking away our precious multipurpose room… ๐Ÿ˜›

Falling Scaffoldings

insurance, land and survey department, life, renovation, safety, scaffoldings

If you come across with this situation… probably your car insurance alone will not be sufficient… you gonna need a life insurance too… if the scaffolding fall directly on your path!!!

The photos were captured this morning around 10am along Penampang Road. The scaffoldings are used to do renovation on the old Land and Survey Departmentโ€™s office near Queen Elizabeth Hospital… which is also in the process of being demolish.

If the safety net was not erected next to the building, the scaffolding definitely have fallen onto the road… imagine if there are few cars travelling along the road at 80 KM/h… sure there will be pile of cars sandwiched together!!!

I hope they have removed the scaffolding for everyoneโ€™s safety… the relevant authority in charge of safety should visit the site and give the contractor a hard lecture on safety…

Do you know that to erect or assemble the scaffoldings you need to go through a course and certification?
