Today’s Log…

life

Today, 30th August 2008, decided to go around snapping photo… or anything. First, had 2nd breakfast at Donggongon then went to Kota Kinabalu International Airport new terminal to see how it looks like… will shows the photos of it next time.

One of the tree in the middle of Donggongon Township.

After KKIA photo snapping, it started raining heavily at the airport. We have to run to the car which is like 100 meter away… wahhh, so long never run like this, so exhausted lah…

Along the road next to the airport, saw this lorry which is part of the KKIA ongoing construction machinery with punctured tyre.

Then saw this youth running with Malaysia’s flag and another one (not in picture) with a white flag, not sure what flag was it… probably their school’s flag.

Then had lunch at Tanjung Aru…

Blackout

blackout, life

Went for tea at Tanjung Aru yesterday evening but suddenly there was a ‘flash’ heavy rain… and the rest of other places too like Penampang I guess. I went out from the car first and the other two colleagues wanted to use umbrella… so this is the result of it… I told you all I’m going to blog it… but I make the picture smaller so that people don’t recognize you all 😆

On my way home after work, I stop by at Pizza Hut Lintas to ‘tapau’ pizza. When the cashier is about to punch in my order, suddenly it blackout!!! damm… I ask if the kitchen blackout too? The cashier said YES!!!… damm, now what?… I waited for about 5 or so minutes but still blackout… I called a friend at Damai Luyang to find out if they have electricity… they do… I decided to go to Pizza Hut Damai… so off I go and I noticed the Lintas traffic lights are dead!!! shoot… lucky I don’t have to go through it.

After getting my large Hawaiian Supreme pizza… 14 minutes after I ordered it… I headed home. I avoided going through Lintas Road, so I used the Kinamount Road… but I was stuck there for more than 30 minutes because the cars can’t get out to Penampang Road. The Lido’s traffic lights are dead too. So, I turn to KK High School. I wanted to use the Penampang Bypass Road. When I reach the bypass, the traffic lights are dead too!!! But lucky the police are there to control the traffic… this is one of the time we really appreciate the Police… else you can see how much people hate them at Malaysia-Today 😆

The traffic ligths are dead… but the street lights are alive…

A Quickie on TechEd SEA 2008

microsoft, Steve Riley, teched, techedsea2008

TechEd SEA 2008 was fantastic!!! The closing was the most exciting… really KABOOM… like last year, once again hosted by Daphne Iking.

Guitar Hero competition…

This time, I did not attend much track but spend most of my time at the exhibition hall… Well, what do you expect a five timer attendee ‘senior’ will do? Let the ‘junior’ fills up the track-room 😀

As usual, Steve Riley’s track is the most crowded… he should be given the Planery Hall instead of the Banquet Hall :O

Like I said before, this guy is the only one wearing short and don’t use the stage…

The track session at Room 306 is too small for the crowd. Hope the organizer will take note on this for next year event… and hopefully I still can make it next year.

Will be continued…

My new plant for my aquarium

aquarium, life

Once again, I was ‘missing’ from updating my blog. Normally I update my blog at home around 8pm onwards. But for the past few months, I was just too tired to do the updating… thanks to the ‘all kind of works’ at office. So, lately after dinner, I just land myself at the sofa and surf the TV instead. I tried to tell myself, ‘update your blog dude’… but I just don’t have the mood… anyways, I will try to ‘look after’ more at it…

OK, since I came back from TechEd SEA 2008 on the 17 August 2008, I have not clean up my aquarium… yah… it’s like 3 weeks already.

This evening, I bought an interesting plant at the Tanjung Aru aquarium shops. It cost me RM15 and I’m not sure what its name… this is the most expensive plants I ever bought so far… hope it will not disappoint me by turning into ‘brown’ color. After changing the aquarium’s water, set the plant in the middle…

Blackout And Morning Rush

life, work

Now I know how it feels when there are frequent blackouts. Last night, around 8.40 pm we had a blackout. I have to take my bath with candle and torch light. I don’t know what time the blackout end because I slept early around 11.00 pm. When I woke up this morning, the supply was already back.

And tonight, around 7.40 pm there was another blackout. But lucky, this time the blackout end around 8.30 pm. Gosh… it really sucks.

Last night blackout was made worse when I was unable to read my office emails. When I arrived at the office this morning, there… a very urgent email sitting in my mailbox… call for meeting at 9.00 am!!! Shoot… it was already like 8.50 am!!! And the meeting is about 3KM from my office… and it is in KK!!!… Traffic Jam!!!

So, I rush down 2 floors…  rush to my car 50m away and did my F1 driving… and made it 5 minutes late… I should have made it faster if not because I made the wrong turn because in my mind the meeting was somewhere at Sutera Harbor direction… it was at the other side of the area… damm…

Then I just drive without stopping 3 floors up… I did a fantastic circle to reach the 3rd floor… just like The FAST and The Furious: Tokyo Drift 😛

wow, they were waiting for me… everyone are already inside… crazy…

That’s about my morning rush today!

Microsoft TechEd South East Asia 2008 is One Week Away

microsoft, Steve Riley, teched, techedsea2008

Microsoft TechEd SEA 2008 Annual Conference is only a week away. Everything has been committed… fee, air fare and hotel… my credit card hit the limit already… so poor now.

If any of you still interested to attend the TechEd, the 999 Promotion is still on… The fee is only RM999 or USD323 compared to the usual RM1,299 or USD419 fee. And group promotion is also still on… with 5 or more in a group, you can save RM100 or USD32 for each participants… meaning each only have to pay RM899 or USD291.

Wait, there are still more… TechEd SEA 2008 is now HRDF Claimable under the SBL Scheme… but it doesn’t apply to me… but if it apply to you, you should take it… especially if you are staying around KL… me staying across South China Sea also can come… I’m sure those around KL will not have any problem… HRDF Claimable some more…

And if this TechEd is going to be your first time, let me recommend to you… you should attend all Steve Riley’s sessions!!! You won’t regret it, believe me!!! I have been attending his sessions since 2003! He is the security expert… so, if you want to hear security expert experience, attend his sessions. You will learn and gain loads of great things.

I’m not saying this to win the Exclusive Luncheon with Steve Riley competition… NO!.. NO WAY!.. I don’t want it… seriously I don’t want it. Even if I get one of the seats, I won’t take it… I’m willing to exchange it with XBOX360… yea… I’m damm serious… I want XBOX360 more than luncheoning with Mr. Riley… he is a bit… errr… weird… but he is very cool… he is the only presenter wearing shorts as if he is going to the beach… but he is funny… he has funny hair.

I think in 2004 he only used one PowerPoint slide… yea, I think it was 2004. I don’t remember what was on the slide… but I think it was the title of the session and his name only. But seriously, he don’t need any slides… his story and presentation enough to make everyone awake throughout the session. And he always get Grand Ballroom too… coz his session always full house… even with the Grand Ballroom, it will still full!

And he loves to show Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter photo. I think they almost look alike LOL. Don’t you think so?..

Stever Riley Stever Irwin
Steve Riley (L) and Steve Irwin (R)

Once again, I love XBOX360 more than luncheoning with Mr. Steve Riley.
