Karamunsing Fly-Over Behind Schedule

karamunsing fly-over

When I open the two local news papers this morning… I was surprised that there was front page news about the delay in completing the Karamunsing Fly-Over. Incidentally I posted the story about the Wawasan Fly-Over and the Karamunsing Fly-Over earlier. It supposed to be completed early this year. But up until now, only half of the fly-over is completed… 50% behind schedule!!!

When I check my photo collections, I do have some shots of the Karamusnign Fly-Over… here how it looks like on the 11th December 2007 from Tang Dynasty Hotel.

Wawasan Fly-Over

fly over, Kota Kinabalu

Taken this photos from 10th floor of Tang Dynasty Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. Wawasan Fly-Over is the third fly-over in Kota Kinabalu. The first, Bukit Nenas Fly-Over (I hope this is correct) has been completed. The 2nd, Karamunsing Fly-Over is still under construction. It is at the left side of the photos… I can’t get a clear sight of it from my room.

Benazir Bhutto assassinated!

blog, news

I’m going to write something away from my normal blogging… Benazir Bhutto the ex-prime minister of Pakistan was assassinated less then half hour ago!

This is horrible… we don’t want this to happen anywhere else…

…The attacker struck just minutes after Bhutto addressed a rally of thousands of supporters in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, 8 miles south of Islamabad. She was shot in the neck and chest by the attacker, who then blew himself up… Yahoo News

Marketing 2.0 for Business from Juice Media Worldwide

Marketing 2.0

Every business needs customers. Without customer there will be no business. Business and customers goes hand in had. But how do businesses target their customers? In detective term that will be profiling the customer or customer profiling. If you are thinking or scratching your head now, yes you guess it right, it does sound like Hollywood detective series.

There are many types of customers and every customer goes to a specific business to buy or get the goods or services they want or need. Businesses have to buy advertisements or conduct road shows to reach their customers. Without doing all these, customers will not be able to know what is the business all about. But business can not simply conduct all these. They have to be specific to reach their target customers.

This is where customer profiling comes in. Previously we heard about Customer Relationships Management or CRM. CRM is a process or methodology used to learn more about customers’ needs and behaviors in order to develop stronger relationships with them. It is a process that will help bring together lots of pieces of information about customers, sales, marketing effectiveness, responsiveness and market trends. Confused? Well, these are all about company-wide business strategy designed to reduce costs and increase profitability. Profitability is the main key here. Business is conducted to gain profit else it is charity.

But today, we have another type of process or methodology to reach customers in much more effective manner. It is called Marketing 2.0 for Business. Juice Media Worldwide at http://www.juicemetriqs.com is the global leader in delivering this new technology. They are delivering this new technology to accelerate marketing effectiveness and productivity. Effectiveness is by partnering with web producers, blog users, and content drivers to provide a more useful collaborative experience for customers, partners and vendors. It is by converging and integrating multiple data points, including social media that will leverage customer interactions.

Juice Media Worldwide, LLC, a leading provider of on‐demand Marketing 2.0 software services and solutions has moved to new San Diego headquarters at 591 Camino de la Reina on the 11th floor of the prominent Valley Corporate Center building.

Located just 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, the nearly 4,000 square foot state‐of‐the‐art offices are double the size of the previous headquarters. The new office equips Juice Media with enough space for the company to grow its software development and client management staff by an additional 50 percent in 2008.

“Managing rapid growth is always a challenge for successful start‐ups. We evaluated several options for new offices to accommodate our growth and Valley Corporate Center was an ideal location for us,” said Rick Enrico, CEO, Juice Media Worldwide, LLC. ”The office tower’s expansive features and centralized location made it a great solution for our needs as we expand our staff and client roster.”

Juice Media employees have access to a number of benefits with the move including an on‐site deli, gym, ocean view offices, and a park next door. The additional meeting space also enables Juice Media to develop even stronger relationships with its clients with more frequent and productive onsite meetings.

Managing your networks remotely with EMS

network, remote management

Organization with branch offices which have server at their branch will put their system and network administrators a hard time managing servers.  When IT installations such as server encounter a problem, it is not easy to perform troubleshooting without going to the site.

But with today’s technology like the Uplogix Envoy Management Station (EMS), IT administrators are not necessary to be on site to perform troubleshooting. Uplogix Envoy centralizes point of control and delivers real-time monitoring and management capabilities, offering a unified view of what’s occurring in the distributed infrastructure. Network administrators can monitor connectivity, fix problems, automate maintenance tasks, and log changes for the entire network from one location. To ensure security, Uplogix Envoy employs the strongest security, encryption, and authentication standards for communications between the sites.

Checking what’s new at car accessories shop

accessories, car, car accessories, life

First we went to one which is a block away from where we had our breakfast. Then we proceeded to Lintas Square. We stroll at 3 car accessories shops there… but nothing new… boring… then decided to go to Putatan. Along the way, we stop at another shop which is on the other side of Lido.

While there, I saw the tiny car… I saw it many times on the road but never closed to it… not bad… good for crusing around doing nothing I guess.

But look at the price… RM90K… that’s about USD$25K

Then we proceeded to Putatan… to Fuji Car Accessories. I guess this is the biggest car accessories in town at the moment.

No work today

food, life

Today no work… it’s public holiday today. I woke up around 6.30am… then continued sleeping until a friend called around 11.00am for breakfast and to go some places. I get ready and went to pick him.

We had our breakfast at Taman Chantek near Lido. I had my favorite Kon Low Mee with pork meat… then added another bowl of noodle… one bowl is not enough.

After breakfast we went to some car accessories shops… well, just to update our self with what available in the market now…

Dim-Sum containers.
