Was attending the Incident Response & Management – Response, React, Recover workshop at Melia Hotel, KL on 28th Feb to 1st March with a colleague. I left for KL on 26th and stayed at Cititel, Midvalley… first was planning to stay at Melia itself, but decided to stay at MV for shopping convenience… 😛

When attending workshop or course outstation, food is the best part… so I was whacking the Japanese food at MV and lucky enough the Melia hotel provided Japanese food for the workshop too… 😀 So lucky…

But since I’m staying quite far from the venue, I have to wake up early… like 6am… and surprisingly I woke up easily… took taxi to Melia from MV. On the 1st day, I reach there quite early… before 8.30am… and I thought the workshop start at 9am… but actually it start at 8.30 😛

Somehow, the workshop was not what I expect but still beneficial… I was planning to attend the workshop so that we can device some standard operation procedures (SOP), documentations, etc… for reference when handling incidents… but this is more than what I expect… in fact this is more for preparation from the very beginning so that corporate, management, staffs, etc. are prepared way ahead before incident happen…. but I’m more on what to do after incident… 😛 Well I guess I just treat this as Corporate Strawberry Gifts… I spend most of my time after the workshop at 5pm eating and shopping… 😛 I went there with 13.3kg and came back with 24.1kg luggage… 😀

This morning went to Austral Clinic… I completed a week supply of medication a couple of days ago… I’m OK already… no more wheezing sound inside my lung during the night. But last night, it looks like it’s coming back and this morning I cough a bit… feels like there are lots of phlegm inside my lung.

Since I’m going outstation starting tomorrow till Wednesday, I decided to see the doctor again… just to make sure I will be OK during my journey… I don’t want to get sick while I’m away… 😛 And this time I was given 3 types of medicines… two of them are the same as the last time… but there is a new one… I some how requested it indirectly… I said I want something strong for the phlegm and cough… so I was given 90ml Diphenhydramine… no it’s not Daphne Eleanor Iking…  it’s a controlled cough medicine… cough syrups…

After testing my lung with the stethoscope, the doctor said I healed very fast… ermm amazing… great… probably my lung was quite serious the last time he tested… 😛 Then checked my throat for the cough… same thing, in good condition… and he advice me to take care what I eat… it sounded like take care your diet… or else you gonna need the best diet pills from me… 😛 ermm… I don’t think I can follow that advice for now…  especially when I’m outstation… eating is an obligation… 😛

The gym really missed me I guess… they called me just to find out if I’m ok coz I did not turn up to the gym for quite sometimes… yea, it is quite long… mid November was the last time I went to the gym… right after I renew my membership… 😛

It’s not that I don’t want to go, but I’m quite busy with other stuff ever since… tired… but I still have muscles even though I did not go to the gym for the past 3 months… well, with some little  fats of course… 😀

Talking about muscles… I came across with Pink Magic… muscles and pink?… yea I know, they don’t match… but anyway, pink magic is muscle building supplement… you can find pink magic reviews on the net if you like to know more about muscle building supplement… For now, I still can’t go to the gym… and the gym suggested to me to freeze my membership for a while so that I don’t waste my money… so, the past two month I did not go are considered frozen… for free coz freezing a membership cost RM30… So, I considered myself lucky coz my membership is somehow extended for another two months… 😛

So yesterday, I tried to pay my summons… yes, I tried… After lunch, I went to KK Traffic Police Station. I had my lunch at Wisma Merdeka 2nd Floor. Usually when I eat there, I have the vegetarian foods… in fact whenever I see something different or new at new place or places I seldom go, I usually choose the one I never or seldom have… what is the point eating something similar that you eat everyday when you are not at your usual place?… 😛

Anyway, when I arrived at the police station, I asked the policeman manning the gate… where can I pay my summons?… He said just walk straight ahead… errrr ok… then I saw the sign… so I went up to the 1st floor… From inside the building, I see people queuing at the corridor… and when I went out to the corridor… holly craps… the queue is quite long… and it’s only 2.15pm 😛 So I decided to go back to the office.

Feeling uneasy for not settling my summons that day… at 3pm, I went there again… but this time the queue is much longer… 😛 craps, I don’t feel like it… I don’t want to waste my time waiting… but I decided to join the queue anyway… just want to feel how it is… you know the feeling to rush to pay the summons at the last minute. And it turn out to be great… I can hear all kind of conversations about this summons thingy… All kind of expressions, feelings, angers… I guess I’m the only one enjoying the queue I guess… coz I don’t really care if I can pay my summons or not… I don’t know… I just want to have the feeling of queuing up… probably because I have not queued for something important for a very long time… but the rest seem to be stressful… probably they are going to pay more compared to my RM1,260

The queue is moving so slow… I feel it don’t even move after sometimes… others also feeling the same. There are only 2 counters serving 😛 Then someone in front said the counter will close at 4.30pm… when I look at the time, it’s 3.30pm… ok never mind, I still have 1 hour… but the queue is still very long… I don’t think I’ll get my turn… but I stayed… to enjoy…

About 10  minutes before the counter closed, people in front started making noises… one of the counter is already serving its last customer!… They look disappointed, angry, and stressed out… it seems like they catches  hoodia side effects out of nowhere… they have to save and diet to have enough money to pay their summons and now they can’t… Some started cursing and some started leaving… now, only about 10 people in front of me… good… if everyone leaves, probably I’ll get my chance settling my summons… well that did not happen…

Anyway, to those who really want to pay their summons, you actually can go to police station at Kepayan, Penampang, Tuaran and Pejabat Pos Besar Kota Kinabalu… or you can opt  to pay online from rilek.gov.my or myeg.gov.my… but rilek only accept CIMB and RHB online bank…and I can’t find option to pay summon in myeg… anyway, I will ask my friend to go and pay my summons today instead… 😛

You probably never heard of line printers… but I’m sure you’ve heard laser printers and bubble jet printers… or maybe dot matrix printers too. What is line printer anyway?…

Well line printers are printer which can print one line at once… and it is super fast… like 300 lines per minute!!! Yes, that’s right… it prints 300 lines per minute on an A3 paper… and usually it don’t use single sheet papers but uses the linked paper type… you know, the one called computer forms.

Line printers are very special and expensive too… if someone is looking for Printronix, that person definitely looking for line printer… coz Printronix is the leading brand for line printer… And when someone is looking for epson printers, he or she might be looking for dot matrix printers or bubble jet printers… and as far as for dot matrix printers, Epson is the main choice… And why the heck I’m talking about printers?… well, it’s becoz I need to service the Printronix line printer… the super old Printronix 5000P … 😛

Foods seem to be the main thing for the past few months… from Christmas to Chinese New Year… and till now. And everyone seem to be enjoying eating… I did said I want to stop all those junk foods coz they are evil… but seem can’t… eating junk, fatty and oily food seems to be the most tastier…

Can’t avoid gaining extras on the belly… have to shift to another hole on my belt… meaning I gain extra one inch… 😛 But lucky only the belly is gaining extra and not having other unsightly stuff like acne or pimple becoz of those fatty and oily stuffs… else have search for acne treatment.

Hope to able to go back to the gym soon… and burn all those oil and fat… 😛

Speed trap or ‘samam ekor’ or ‘tail summon’ is really sick… especially if you are not aware of the speed limit on that route. Imagine this… you’ve been driving 100 km/h everyday thinking the speed limit of that route is 100 km/h.

Then 3 months later you received a summon… your very first traffic summon of your whole life… through the post office… yes, the summon is sent to you through a registered mail… the summon said you have exceeded the 90 km/h speed limit on the route… dammm… now you realize the speed limit is only 90 km/h. OK, never mind, let’s just be a good citizen… comply the speed limit from that day and pay the summon too… and great, they even give you 50% discount for paying the summon from the RM300.

But two weeks letter, you received another registered mail… and this time, there are 7 summons inside!!! Holly craps… the total is RM1,650!!!

If they have stopped me immediately on my first offence and informed me about the speed limit of that route, I would have not accumulated those 7 summons continuously!!! So I got very upset…. I did not pay the summons…  until today!!!… that was at the end of 2006 when I received all the summons.

But now, they are giving us dateline… if summons are not paid by 1st March 2011, there will be no more discount and those who are renewing their road tax will not be able to do it… they need to clear all their summons first!!!

So, I check my summon through the online service a few days ago… I want to see how much discount I get from those 7 summons… but now, instead of 7 summons, now I have 10 summons!!!… craps… with a total of RM2,550!!!… and after discount, I still have to pay RM1,260… meaning, tomorrow I’m gonna waste RM1,260 for the 10 summons… that’s about $400 man… with that amount I can get lots of stuff… including foods… dammm… I’m gonna need to apply for payday loans just for these… and I still need a lot  more coz I’ll be outstation next week… I need some mercy here man… 😛

Gets tired easily lately… this week alone, I took a short nap during lunch time in the office for a few times… I just can’t  stop my eyes closing after having lunch. Probably getting older or it’s time to get some break… Last week I have to see a doctor for my wheezing lung during the night.

I told the doctor it has been going on for almost 3 weeks… he was quite alarmed with it… 3 weeks is too long he said coz when the body can’t handle the pain anymore, it will stressed the heart big time… the heart will have to work harder… when I think of it, he is right man… well, he is a doctor anyway… but yes, it sound very convincing… it just plain logic… the heart need to pump more blood when we are sick…

He asked me if I feel tired… well, I did not give a straight answer… I just said, I think so coz I usually sleep late… 😛  So, that is one reason I’m feeling fatigue… tired… coz my heart need to work harder… for the past 3 weeks… so he gave me four types of pills… and I have to take 7 pills all together at one time. When I take the pills… I feel like I’m a guinea pig… a test subject, something like prototype 37 c subject 😛

Frankly I really don’t like to take medicine… when the doctor asked me why I did not come earlier, I told him I wanted to fight it naturally… without drugs… he just smile… sarcastically… 😛 But the bonus… which I feel happy although I’m not sure how it really calculated is my blood pressure… the doctor said my BP is in good shape… 😀

Since Christmas last year, I can’t stop eating… and I seems not getting enough… always feeling hungry… when I wake up in the morning, I feel very hungry… I also feel hungry in the middle of the night although my dinner is two plates of foods… very early in the morning when I woke up to pee at 5am also feeling hungry… 😛

So I end up eating everything… including roasted peanuts… yea, it’s bad… it’s really bad for me coz it makes the volcano aka the acne sprouting like mushrooms and they are big… I shouldn’t eat all this junks, especially roasted peanuts coz the only acne treatment that really works for me is not to eat roasted peanuts… 😛

I don’t really understand why peanuts is bad, it’s actually taste great… some people react too much with peanut and it’s sometimes fatal… lucky for me, it only make the acne pop-up… 😛

Last Sunday, 13 February, four of us… Disney, Malcolm, Stevenson and Me went to Tuaran & Kota Belud. We have been planning for this trip since last month and we supposed to go on 6 February but unfortunately everyone has plan on that day. We also having difficulty choosing a suitable date for this trip coz of the wet season… we need to have clear sky to take the Mount Kinabalu photo… yea, that was our mission, to take the Mount Kinabalu photos.

The rainy season for almost 3 months already made it uncertain for us to go… unless we all have waterproof cameras then we don’t have to worry about the heavy rain… but still, the mountain will not be visible or clear when it rain and when clouds surround the mountain. But luck was with us on last Sunday… although it was raining the whole day on Saturday, I was surprised to see the sky so clear on Saturday night… I can see thousands of stars on the sky… no clouds… wow… 😀

I woke up around 4.15am and immediately went to prepare for breakfast… all I have to do was make a cup of tea and put the hams and sausages into to microwave oven… I have fried the hams and sausages the night before… I packed the rest of the sausages to bring along for the trip. Disney picked me up around 5.15am and met the rest at KK. We stopped at Mc Donald, Jalan Sulaman to pack breakfast coz the others have not take their heavy breakfast… I bought a cup of tea which I did not drink… but I drank it on our way home around 1.30pm.

The trip was wonderful… the sky was a bit cloudy but it was actually very hot and I received sunburned on my neck. And it was for me to test my new Canon 7D which I just received on Friday after waiting for it for almost a week 😀 That camera is damm good… my old Canon 400D and 40D looks like dinosaur… 😆 All together we stop like five times at five different places to capture the mountain… the sunrise and the clouds surrounding the mountain is very challenging.

Along the trip, we stop at one hanging bridge and saw a family bathing and washing their cloths at the river… we took the opportunity to capture their life. It was great… I feel like going back there next time and do different way to capture their life… Then we stop at Kota Belud Tamu… this is my first time here… and it also a wow… then we had our lunch at the Kota Belud Pasar Tani… the food is damm bloody tasty… and I even got a shocked when we paid for the food… for four of us, the food is just RM16… that RM4 each… In KK it will cost us more than RM25… :O

Then on the way back, we saw funny stuffs too… like excavator bathing itself… I was frozen when I saw it… can’t even lift the camera and snap the moment… then saw an almost accident… a Viva suddenly did an acrobatic in front of us by doing 90 degree and luckily manage to recover while overtaking on a bend… on a bridge… 😛 Then lastly we saw a lion dance show at Mengatal Town…
